We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to join our CMB IT organization that provides banking services to corporate and commercial banking clients. It provides a comprehensive set of capabilities that cover the global need of our clients. Commercial banking has started the transformation journey 3 years ago and is now entering a significant investment cycle to fundamentally transform our platforms. This will provide our customers and our staff with industry leading platforms with open architecture design, API and micro services, data insight / Machine Learning, and will operate on Cloud where possible. We'll also use latest technology, data insight, and tool set to support the significant growth ambition of the commercial bank.

Key duties include:

Contribute to the C&L IT strategy and its execution

·
Understand and analyse the existing CMB Credit and Lending (C&L) business and IT landscape

·
Design and plan roadmaps for the delivery of the IT strategy into the business and IT landscape

·
Work with the CMB business and Transformation teams to develop and deploy IT strategy as part of an overall operating model

·
Ensure IT deliveries align to the staff and customer capabilities defined in operating models and roadmaps

·
Ensure IT principles, technology standards and the best practices are applied correctly

·
Conduct or participate in architectural reviews. Own and manage the architectural risks

·
Manage stakeholder expectations while closely working with them

Desired profile



Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:


· 
A good understanding of formal Architecture concepts and practices, as encompassed in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.

· 
Some understanding of commercial banking would be an advantage

· 
Experience of designing/architecting n-tier global enterprise applications

· 
Experience of designing & collaborating to produce operating models

· 
Good understanding of modern cloud, integration and workflow technologies a distinct advantage (eg AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker)

· 
Some understanding of past generations of enterprise technology also an advantage (eg mainframe; mid-tier; middleware; relational databases)

· 
Experience of managing stakeholder's expectation

·  Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· 
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with good command of written and spoken English

· 
Track record of delivery under diversified/matrix team structure

· 
Familiar with Agile and software development lifecycles and methodologies

·  Ability in working under pressure
· 
Ability to lead & promote discussion to positive outcomes

· 
Able to work flexible hours and willingness to travel

The base location for this role is 8 Canada Square, London.
