Through Business Banking our global network offers comprehensive support, advice and services to businesses in the SME market. From setting up a new business to managing the cash and trade flows of an established enterprise, the Business Banking team of Relationship Managers and Business Specialists provides a range of end-to-end solutions designed to help small and large businesses reach their potential.

 

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

 

In this role, you will:

 

1.         Support RM in building sustainable business growth via relationship maintenance, and delivering fair customer outcomes leveraging on credit assessment

2.         Prepare credit applications for new / existing customers including but with no limit to analysis on industry outlook / business performance / facility appropriateness/ financial position/ credit risk,  credit document collection, credit application submision,and post-credit approval process mangement

3.         Laise with external third parties including valuation agencies, panel solicitors etc. 

4.         Act as the primary escalation point for Credit Services

5.         Support the Relationship Manager in due diligence and transaction execution by liaising with both internal and external parties (e.g. lawyers, surveyors, clients)

6.         Responsible for supporting RMs in identifying product and service opportunities for both potential and existing clients; Preparation on industry / customer research, financial & credit analysis and other relevant documents for clients' meetings

7.         Be pro-active in assessing and managing the credit risks of existing relationships

8.         Responsible for credit and operational risk monitoring for the given market

9.         Confidently manage financial crime risk throughout the client lifecycle by identifying, assessing, accepting, monitoring, escalating and mitigating risk

10.     Protecting the reputation and integrity of HSBC by ensuring you are compliant with applicable laws and regulations as well as internal policies

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

 

1. Bachelor degree or above, majored in accounting or financial would be preferred.

2. At least two years of related experience in credit analysis or risk management in banks or non-bank financial institution.

3. Fluent writing, reading and speaking in English & Mandarin.

4. Has the passion to protect the bank as the first line of defense.

5. CPA would be preferred but is not required.
