We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Assistant Actuarial Manager - Product .

Principal Responsibilities

· Product pricing including feasibility study on product development, modelling and assumption setting with justifications and recommendation, reinsurance negotiation, preparing/reviewing pricing documents with limitation logs and expert judgment logs and approval papers. Able to explain the issues and escalate whenever (s)he sees the need
· Conducting actuarial work in product development and pricing under both deterministic and market consistent framework.
· Reviewing reinsurance treaty and marketing materials with comments on appropriateness or correctness
· Complying with pricing guideline and Group and Global frameworks including Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM) Functional Instruction Manual (FIM).
· Be able to provide suggestions to improve the pricing process.
· Provide ad hoc support with minimum guidance to other entities as required (e.g. Chief Actuary Office, Group Insurance, Business and etc.)
· Preparing management information reports and analysis (eg. annual profitability review, in-depth product review or analysis & etc.) with the ability to explain the results.
· Be able to coach junior staff on various projects.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Requirements:

·  University Degree holder in Actuarial Science, or related disciplines
·  Preferably be a qualified actuary under one of the International recognized actuarial societies
·  In-depth knowledge of life and retirement industry and products
·  Excellent presentation and people skills, as well as proficient analytical skills
·  Ability to deal with multiple projects and competing priorities
·  Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality
·  Strong problem solving skills and business sense
·  Fluent in English and Chinese
·  Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
