We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Investment and Wealth Solutions Head of Pricing and Deposits.

The  Head of Pricing & Deposits is a newly created role, reporting to the Head of IWS Asia and based in Hong Kong, with the core purpose of driving forward the commercial aspects of the GPBpricing and deposit strategy globally.  

Purpose of the role

·  Own and drive our global strategy and oversee execution plans for GPB pricing (excl loans) and deposits management including the overall pricing framework globally.
·  Ensure pricing and deposit global oversight forums are effective, drive key decision-making, and meet the needs of senior management.
·  Drive closer alignment on pricing & deposit operating models and share best practice across all regions.
·  Provide senior management with visibility on pricing and deposits across all regions and provide a clear escalation route for strategic issues.
·  Enhance our visibility of competitor positioning and benchmarking and ensure appropriate actions are taken with product desks to remain competitive.
·  Be a clear point of contact and provide subject matter expertise on product pricing, pricing discipline & deposits for key stakeholders across GPB&W.
Key activities

·  Build-out the strategy for GPB pricing and deposits, ensuring strategic direction is closely linked to clear, actionable execution plans with ownerships defined.
·  Track progress against our strategy across regions and act with key stakeholders to adjust where necessary.
·  Work with IWS Regional Heads to embed new Target Operating Models for GPB pricing and deposits.
·  Own agenda and coordinate materials for all GPB pricing and deposit global oversight forums (including the newly established Global Rates Management Committee).
·  Work closely with regional stakeholders to design and deliver effective, globally consistent MI to help track delivery and enhance visibility to senior management.
·  Maintain oversight over key deposit book movements, monitor market developments, and liaise with regions to ensure pricing anomalies are considered and remedied where required.
·  Design and implement a globally consistent approach to competitor analysis and benchmarking.
·  Engage with counterparts in GPB Business Finance, GPB, WPB, ALCM, and Markets Treasury to ensure GPB needs are considered and actioned.
·  Work with regional stakeholders to enhance Front Office engagement and share best practice.

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

Required experience

·  Extensive years of experience in a Banking environment with clear management skills and experience in managing, pricing, and developing banking products in particular deposit and money market offerings together with ensuring appropriate control frameworks, back to front process and procedures, including trading and operations and an understanding of product governance and associated requirements.
·  Strong and proven stakeholder management skills with an aptitude to manage stakeholders to deliver at pace.
·  Recognized strong quantitative abilities and organisational skills with high attention to detail.
·  Highly adaptable with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
·  Confident in challenging senior approval lines and current practices.
·  Experience of managing projects and/or teams.
·  Must possess effective presentation, interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Qualifications

·  Finance degree, MBA or equivalent experience.
·  Other relevant professional qualifications desirable.
·  Experience in Private banking, Finance and/or consulting
