Global Internship Program
The e-distribution company, dedicated to the technological development of the power grid , is launching an internship project within the units dedicated to the development of Smart Grid technologies applied to the MV network .
The project will involve a study of the state of the art of accumulation systems based on 'Fly Wheel' technology, in relation to various possible cases of use: weakly connected distribution networks, voluntary island distribution systems, power quality improvement. Analysis / studies of possible application on the distribution network and realization of simulation models in real time.

• Project Work:
Interns will be offered real e-distribution networks characterized by service quality issues such as voltage holes, harmonics and flicker. The interns must first develop a state of the art technology study and then analyze and set up solutions using the 'Grid in a Building - RTDS' simulation technology platforms installed at the Smart Grid Lab in Milan. This platform is based on the Real Time Digital Simulator (RTDS) device, one of the most advanced technologies in the world, in the Power System Engineering context. The route includes both lab activities, with experimental software development periods, and field activities, such as measurement campaigns on affected networks.
The activity will be followed and coordinated by a business tutor, and will include collaboration with other Business Units such as O&M.
=== CANDIDATES ===
• Education : Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or Power Engineering
The position is Open to undergraduates (close to thesis/in last semester of study) or recent graduates (within 1 year from graduation).

Technical-professional knowledge:
o Knowledge of Electric Power Systems and Industrial Power Electronics / Electrical Drives
o programming software in typical engineering environments (Matlab, Labview, C¬¬++)
• Languages :
o English: mandatory intermediate or above
o Italian: mandatory advanced or mother tongue
o Spanish will be considered a plus
• International study/work experience (Erasmus, Erasmus Placement, Leonardo, Worldwide programme, etc.) will be considered a plus.
