About the Role

As an Oils and Fats buyer with the Global Cycles & Procurement (Oils and Fats) team, you will support and implement their category sourcing strategy in sourcing vegetables oils and specialty fats for all Danone Asia Pacific and Middle East (ASPAME) Business Units. You will lead and/or contribute to key sourcing projects in the regions while monitoring and driving key performance indicators related to financial performance, quality & legal compliance and responsible sourcing.

About the Job

• Tender preparation, bid analysis, contract negotiations and follow up (countries volume allocation, consumption coverage, quality notification, claim)
• Lead or co-lead with Research & Innovation(R&I) or Quality of category sourcing projects portfolio simplification, dual sourcing and reformulation
• Support internal regional buyers on sourcing activities (North America, Europe)
• Direct management of regional/global suppliers in line with global category strategy and cross Division Requirements (ie import duties, local sourcing)
• Lead and ensure supplier contract compliance via Sedex (Quality supplier compliance manufacturing site audit)
• Prepare Budget, price lists, material variance analysis and monitor material coverage
• Contribute to monthly market forecast on all oil and fats sub categories with Market Intelligence team
• Preparation of performance objectives and annual business reviews
• Active participation in sustainability initiatives related to the category

About You

• University degree in Business, Operations/Logistics, Engineering, Science, Procurement
• Experience and proven success in managing a direct category
• Proven analytical skills
• Entrepreneurial attitude
• Able to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously & deliver results fast in a high-pressure global environment
• Possesses ability to build relationships in an international and cross-functional environment
• Will require travelling of up to 20%
