The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the Regional Head of Claims, you will lead and manage a team of (senior) experts and team leaders, handling complex and critical claims within authority limits and Allianz Commercial Claims Standards. By utilizing third-party service providers, you'll ensure economical results and high-quality service for all customers. Your role will include training and developing your team, acting as a technical referral point for Claims Handlers, and building strong relationships with brokers and clients. You'll effectively navigate the global matrix, driving innovation and excellence in claims operations.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
Lead and manage a team of claims experts, team leaders, and handlers, ensuring effective delegation and technical guidance.
Oversee cost centre budget, aligning with planned objectives.
Investigate and settle complex claims, determining coverage, reserving levels, and ensuring efficient negotiation.
Maintain accurate claims records and produce management information reports to identify loss trends.
Support credit control processes by reviewing late/non-payment of premium.
Ensure claims are handled within authority limits and Allianz Commercial procedures, preparing referral documentation for cases outside these limits.
Establish claims management procedures for new business accounts and conduct audits of external service providers.
Promote Allianz Commercial claims handling capabilities by developing and maintaining strong relationships with brokers, clients, and stakeholders, positively representing Allianz Commercial in the market.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
Proficient in relevant products, wordings, terms, conditions, and coverages, with expert understanding of LoB products and portfolio.
Skilled in claims handling from notification to settlement, including reserving principles, coinsurance, and reinsurance applications.
Understanding of legal processes, litigation management, and negotiation techniques to manage conflicts and achieve optimal outcomes.
Effective communicator with strong analytical skills to absorb, analyze, and draw conclusions from diverse data sources.
Competent in leading and managing teams, including delegation, direction-setting, and steering goals in a global matrix organization.
Deep understanding of insurance markets and competitor landscape, with well-recognized relationship-building skills with brokers and stakeholders.
Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is highly beneficial.
