Case Worker

The Case worker will be working in one of the Offices located in Italy and will be responsible for the following tasks:
-Work as a member of an international team of experts on the processing of applications for international protection, following the relevant detailed Standards Operating Procedures and EU asylum acquis;
-Interviewing applicants for international protection;
-Preparing opinions on admissibility of applications for international protection; preparing opinions on the merits of applications for international protection;
-Ability to conduct interviews with third country nationals seeking international protection in English
-Ability to draft opinions on international protection in English
-Ability to be deployed in any location in Italy where asylum applicants are processed, flexibility to be moved from one location to another during employment; working with supervision, delivering the required workload on a daily basis and with strict deadlines (possibility of extended working hours)
Perform any other tasks in the interest of the service, relevant for the specific profile as providing administrative support and assistance in co-ordinating the professional activities of the office; scheduling, organisation and providing administrative assistance in the preparation of meetings and workshops including the preparation of documents and dossiers; contribute to develop and maintain the network with key stakeholders involved in the asylum system.
We Look for:
•A Master Degree in Law, International Relations, Political Sciences or equivalent, attested by a diploma;
•Possess a thorough knowledge of both Italian and English;
•Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite;
•Good knowledge of the Italian asylum related legislation and procedures, with particular attention to migration related aspects.
•Excellent organizational skills; Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
It will be considered a plus previous relevant professional experience in similar tasks of at least 1 year; previous experience within an international and multicultural environment, specifically in the field of international protection.
Working place: Italy
Temporary Contract with Adecco with possibility of extension; starting date: February 2018
Gross monthly salary: 4000 €
