Job description

NUVIA are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technical Services Lead to lead and manage our technical services team. As the Technical Services Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation, maintenance, and support of our technical solutions. You will be responsible for overseeing the team's activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing technical expertise to drive excellence on behalf of Nuvia.

Reports to

Direct report of: Delivery Manager

Key Accountabilities

Technical Leadership and Team Management:

   - Lead and mentor a team of technical professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the team's continuous growth and development.

Solution Implementation and Deployment:

   - Oversee the end-to-end implementation of technical solutions, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meeting client requirements.

Technical Support and Issue Resolution:

   - Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, providing hands-on assistance and expertise to troubleshoot and resolve problems.

Client Relationship Management:   

  - Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing exceptional technical guidance, support, and communication.

Technical Strategy and Innovation:  

  - Collaborate with product development teams to provide insights from client interactions, contributing to the enhancement of existing solutions and the development of new ones.

Occupational Skills and Training

What previous experience or qualifications would the individual need

Duties and Requirements

- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline, with a focus on electrical being preferred

- Holds, or has the ability to achieve, a valid ECS Gold Card (Installation Electrician or Maintenance Electrician) or the ECS HERS (Highway Electrical Registration Scheme) Card
- Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in equipment installation, maintenance, or repair is preferred.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, software, and equipment manuals.

- The use of calibration equipment and working with radioactive sources would be a benefit
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

- Experience in working with radiation detectors
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
