Area description

Group Finance, among other activities, coordinates initiatives aimed at optimizing the risk/ profitability profile of the loan portfolio; manages the execution of transactions related to the strategic management of market risk minimizing the volatility of net interest income and of balance sheet economic value; executes the medium-long term Funding plan; defining the most appropriate strategies for the use of Bank’s assets; manages the execution of credit risk mitigating transactions aiming at supporting the achievement of Group targets in terms of capital optimization and overall risk adjusted performance; performing first line controls on short and long term liquidity positions; defines conditions and rules for transfer price application; ensures that the price applied to customers loans is coherent with principles, rules and measures for creating value for the Group, though pricing models development and the expost monitoring of the performance.

Function description

FTP, PRICING AND OPERATIONAL ALM is responsible for proposing the IRRBB strategy to competent committees, applying behavioral models for IRRBB, defining the internal transfer pricing and ensuring that, in the origination phase, the price applied to customers is coherent with principles, rules and measures for creating value for the Group, though pricing models development and the ex-post monitoring of the new lending performance vs. target KPIs (i.e. RACE).

In particular, the FTP (Fund Transfer Pricing) team is responsible for:

·  defining and maintaining “Global Rules”, related to (i) transfer prices to be applied to intra-group transactions, (ii) figurative prices for financial-risk components to be applied to Group assets/ liabilities;
·  defining conditions and rules for transfer price application,
·  supporting 'Group Planning, Capital Management & Strategic ALM', on the application of transfer pricing, the definition and analysis of scenarios, and forecast and budget processes;
·  proposing the operational strategies and management guidelines to the relevant committees, supporting the commercial structures in the pricing of business transactions and in the new products development
·  directly defining the FTP for complex financial transactions or exceeding specific thresholds in terms of volumes and the price for intragroup funding transactions
·  guaranteeing the appropriate circulation and implementation of FTP common methodologies and rules at Group level

Job description

The intern will support the team in all the standard tasks assigned to the “FTP, Pricing and Operational ALM” team related to Fund Transfer Pricing like:

·  Weekly funding curves update
·  Weekly ABACO and OBG benefit update
·  Weekly update of short term transfer rate analysis
·  Analysis about internal funding sources remuneration
·  Daily Pricing of non-standard transactions
·  Supporting documentation for top management discussions and Bank’s committees

What we expect from you

The role holder will:

·  have financial background and analytical skills
·  have good knowledge of MS Office suite and fluent English
·  have attitude to work collaboratively as team member and share knowledge across the team
