Area description

FIBS Credit Transactions department is responsible for the management and the monitoring of the counterparties, single and economic groups, belonging to the client segments Financial Institutions, Banks and Sovereigns (FIBS) within the perimeter in its remit.

Function description

FIBS Underwriting unit is responsible for the credit risk management of the UniCredit’s exposure to financial institutions, banks and sovereigns, including, besides other tasks, assessment of the creditworthiness of the FIBS counterparties, assignment of internal ratings (PD, LGD), definition of the risk appetite towards the counterparty economic group, management of the risk appetite through credit limits, assessment and decision-making on single credit transactions.

Job description

Main activities:

·  Assessment of the counterparty creditworthiness through application of internal rating model;
·  Definition of risk strategy for the single counterparty and counterparty economic group based on a set of risk categories/products;
·  Detection of early warning signal for potential deterioration of the counterpart’s financial standing;
·  Risk assessment of single transactions stemming from the Markets, Global Transactional Banking and Finance & Advisory product lines of UniCredit;
·  Preparation of various managerial reports and presentations.

Degree in Finance/Economics or equivalent with basic knowledge of financial markets and instruments and strong interest in risk management and credit operations
