You will work in a context with a high scientific value added, serving the core business of TOTAL and in a highly competitive field. You will be integrated into the scientific geoscience teams where you will design and develop software to deal with the fields of geophysical imaging, seismic acquisition modeling, numerical simulation of fluid flows in reservoirs, artificial intelligence applied to geosciences. The codes created are optimized to achieve the best performance needed to produce our geoscience studies, carried out by our subsidiaries and partners. You will also have to maintain the software used in production in operational conditions.

You will also be required to interact with the group's research centers, or other university partners, to help them in their achievements and to integrate the fruits of R&D work into our production codes. You will also sometimes supervise some work done by contractors.

You will need to participate in technology watch activities to maintain HPC knowledge and skills and anticipate developments in the field. You are interested in the creation, research, development, performance and optimization of codes in the HPC world, you are mobile and you enjoy working in an international context.

You are curious and open-minded. Active listening allows you to clearly identify and understand the needs of your geoscience clients. You like working in a team, while being autonomous. Your level of English allows you to collaborate with research centers abroad.

Candidate profile

Engineer,Master's Degree in High-Performance Computing & Simulation, PhD

Computer science profile, strong knowledge in numerical analysis, signal processing, mathematics, physics, fluid mechanics, finite differences, artificial intelligence, interest in geosciences

Strong skills on GPU, CUDA and OPEN ACC, Proven experience

Strong skills in optimization, profiling, debugging, performance analysis, experience of profiling tools and optimization

Programming environment FORTRAN, C, C ++, parallelization techniques MPI, OPEN MP, HMPP

JENKINS Industrial Computer Knowledge, Continuous Integration, Automatic Tests, Version Manager

Knowledge of HPC machine architectures and operating systems (Linux, HPC operation and resource management, I / O management, scheduler, parallel filesystem)
