Technip in Spain is looking for a Materials Engineer to be in charge of all technical activities related to definition, take-off and selection of piping materials , insulation and protective coatings for piping.

Main accountabilities:

·Definition of the piping materials specifications

·Validation of the material take-off

·Execution of the assembly requisitions and price lists

·Consolidates and validates the obtained quantities.

·Prepares bid and purchase requisitions for piping materials.

·Evaluates technical proposals form bidders.

·Prepares technical bid tabulations.

·Follows up and comments technical documentation for piping materials

·Follows up quantities through the project life, tracking and solving duplicates and off-spec elements.

Profile:

Must have:

- Master Degree or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Materials Engineering.

- Fluent in English.

- One-Two years of experience in companies providing engineering services to the Chemical, Refining or Petrochemical Industry.

- Knowledge of ASME, API, EN codes.

- Software Knowledge of: SmartPlan Materials, Ms Project, Excel.

Additional information:

Suitable candidate will be offered a local contract.

Initially temporary contract with options to become permanent contract.
