Responsibilities:
• Function as owner representation during fabrication activities
• Review and become familiar with the project technical requirements; applicable codes, standards, and specifications
• Monitor contractor electrical and instrumentation activities regular surveillance and/or inspection to ensure that they comply with project requirements
• Review E&I materials & equipment for compliance to specifications and requirements
• Check installation of cables & termination connections for compliance to requirements
• Check installation of instruments and safety valves are compliant to requirements
• Monitor loop checks done by the contractor
• Checks power transformers, switchboards, battery, sockets outlet, lighting system
• Verify procedures, Inspection and Test plan, test methods, record forms and other applicable documents are approved before commencement of the work
• Monitor calibration of instruments that are being used by the contractors
• Identify and report nonconforming conditions through NCR and follow up until closure as required
• Issue surveillance reports if required and follow up until closure
• Ensure the correct implementation of the approved E&I Inspection Test Plan & witness key activities as identified on the plan
• Support coordination with Engineering to initiate timely analysis and resolution of identified discrepancies
• Attend weekly meetings, as required by the Site Management, with contractors to go over any quality issues
• Ensure that quality documentation is being completed, signed off, and compiled as the work progresses to support turnover and record retention activities at the project site
• Other duties as assigned by the Site Quality Manager.

Requirements:
• 15 Years Experience. Previous experience within oil & gas industry preferred
• knowledge of construction standards, codes of practice and regulations/legislation relating to electrical and instrumentation work
• Ability to understand & follow quality policies and procedures including concepts like continual improvement, performance measurement and feedback etc.
• Ability to constructively participate in project team objectives and have inter-personal & leadership skills
• Job requires physically to climb over, under, onto, and around components during inspection activities
• Familiarity with and be trainable for “Confined Space Entry,” “Respirator Fit,” “Fall Protection,” and “Personnel Safety” as necessary for inspection and quality verification.
• Familiarity with basic computer packages (Word, Excel, etc)
