Description of the Business Line or Department

The GLFI/NAT mission statement is to develop a worldwide business franchise in the Natural Resources, Energy and Infrastructure sector by providing clients with financing solutions as well as providing advisory services.

The Natural Resources & Infrastructure Financing Group provides a full range of finance and advisory services for developers, investors, producers, traders, processors and end-users of infrastructure, energy, metals and soft commodities as well as public sector through four key platforms: Energy group, Metals & Mining finance group, Traders, Commodity finance & Agribusiness group and Infrastructure finance, as well as MARK/CTY joint venture.

The Infrastructure Finance business line (GLFI/NAT/INF), with teams based in Paris, London, Frankfurt, Madrid, Milan, Hong Kong, Sydney and New York, is in charge of advising and financing Public-Private solutions and large infrastructure projects in sectors including transports (roads, railways, ports and airports) and accommodation (schools, hospitals, public buildings).

Summary of the key purposes of the role

Build and manage client relationships with INF target clients and borrowers in the EMEA region

· 
Identify and address clients' needs in terms of raising and managing capital

· 
Represent INF in internal dialogues with colleagues to provide best-in-class advisory and arranging services to the client base

Summary of responsibilities
To support the team's efforts in effectively covering clients to address their borrowing needs
· 
Clients: Infrastructure developers, operators, owners and financial investors active in the EMEA Region

· 
Products: Bi-lateral facilities, syndicated loans, project bonds and related derivatives

· 
Sector: Infrastructure finance including transportation infrastructure, social infrastructure, PPP/PFI projects, regulated utilities and related assets

·  To support the team's efforts in developing and maintaining a track record of winning mandates in addressing clients' borrowing needs
· 
Maintain a good knowledge of developments in the Infrastructure sector as well as current transactions

· 
Identifying potential opportunities in the market
To support the team's efforts in the effective and responsible execution of mandates
· 
Undertaking research on relevant projects

· 
Day to day transaction support to Director/VP in the Infrastructure team with responsibility for specific aspects of transactions

· 
Financial modelling and analysis for advisory mandates

· 
Interrogation of the financial model for lead arranger mandates including sensitivities and checking model integrity

· 
Support the preparation of credit applications

· 
Assist with transaction due diligence, documentation and presentations

· 
Assist with credit ratings Analysis of the profitability of transactions

· 
KYC due diligence and approvals

· 
Permanent supervision files for regulatory and compliance purposes

To support the development of advisory and new product offering in line with INF's strategy and priorities

To support the development of INF client base in line with GLFI's and SG Group's strategy and priorities

· 
Start to establish a network of contacts at key clients and prospective clients

· 
Coverage support as part of a team assigned for marketing and origination of new business
To support INF in internal dialogues with colleagues to provide best-in-class advisory and arranging services to the client base
· 
Support credit approval process with RISQ, SYN, GLFI/DIR and NAT

· 
Support other GBIS business lines in X-SELL activities (specifically IFD, DCM, Ratings Advisory, Project Bonds and CORI)

Understanding of the loan and bond markets, their dynamics and the related instruments, including credit and rates derivatives to propose relevant financing solutions

Capacity to generate pitch material that is clear, structured, compelling, and comprehensive in addressing clients' needs
