Our Melbourne CBD based Energy and Sustainability Services group are one of only few consultancy groups specialising in the electricity market to hold an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL), a reflection of its unique consultancy skill base. We provide a range of independent consultancy services to large energy consumers drawing upon extensive first-hand experience in the wholesale and retail sectors of the Australian energy markets. The range of services includes energy procurement strategy, energy cost and consumption data collection and energy cost accounting.

What is the role?

Schneider Electric is experiencing growth in the energy cost reporting and analysis area. In this domain we provide our clients with detailed information regarding their historic energy payments and costs as well as forecasting those costs into the future to assist with cash flow management and budget planning.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Reporting Analyst to assist in the development and ongoing delivery of energy accounting reports to clients and working with those clients to understand new/additional reporting requirements and interpretation of the results.

Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to;

Engage with clients and client managers to determine reporting requirements.

Develop & deliver accurate & timely reports, explaining the results to clients as required.

·
Accurately document processes/methodologies identifying opportunities to improve/standardize reports across clients to improve efficiency.

Provide analytical support as required for energy cost and consumption related projects.

In addition, you possess the following relevant skills

Advanced MS-Excel capability.

·
Familiarity with SQL query development/operation and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) being advantageous.

Familiarity with QLIK will be highly regarded.

·
High volume data background is an advantage.

·
Demonstrable analytical ability with a sharp eye for numerical detail is essential, as is the ability to understand potential financial outcomes.

·
Proven ability to remain focused in a complex and fluid environment whilst delivering tasks accurately and on time.

·
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, customer focused and good stakeholder management skills.

·
Adaptable, resilient and focused, capable of taking ownership and delivering desirable outcomes within a complex and changing environment whilst remaining an integral part of a close knit and friendly team.

·
Experience in energy markets and related industries would be an advantage.
