Job description



The Senior Manager of Demand Planning position is responsible for all Material Requirements Planning activities associated with customers' orders and product execution. This role creates and maintains forecast models, incorporating business intelligence, and market information gathered from sales, finance, operations, and other sources. Deep experience in inventory, production planning, and supply chain as well as knowledge of process improvement and fulfillment strategies is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:

·  ▪ Lead the demand planning efforts for the company
·  ▪ Directly supervise demand planning team
·  ▪ Work with management, finance, supply chain and sales teams in creating and maintaining the corporate S&OP process
·  ▪ Identify demand forecast risks and develop effective mitigation plans
·  ▪ Develop demand plan based on business trends and demand patterns
·  ▪ Analyze and troubleshoot demand related issues in a timely and accurate manner
·  ▪ Develop routine and ad-hoc demand related reports for management
·  ▪ Schedule forecast review meetings with management on regular basis
·  ▪ Maintain demand planning processes to improve forecast accuracy
·  ▪ Work with team to plan, coordinate and execute demand planning activities
·  ▪ Update forecasts for new products, ancillary revenues, contract concessions, and NRE charges
·  ▪ Coordinate with supply chain to monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels
·  ▪ Have a customer demand forecast which incorporates current and accurate market information that allows the company to correctly predict product demand and provide its supply chain with the appropriate information to plan and execute to meet the customer demand
·  ▪ Improve relationships among operations, sales, programs, and finance, which will lead to effective knowledge sharing and an optimal consensus forecast to better guide the company
·  ▪ Refine business systems and methods to continually improve forecasts so that the company can better anticipate customer needs
·  ▪ Provide feedback to management showing the opportunities and risks regarding customer replenishment performance metrics
·  ▪ Deep understanding of Excel and other Database tools and methods

Job requirements

Preferred Qualifications and/or Education:

·  ▪ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field
·  ▪ 7+ years of experience working in Demand Planning
·  ▪ 5+ years of experience working in a Management role
·  ▪ 1-2 years of experience establishing budgets
·  ▪ Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts
·  ▪ Experienced with enterprise-level software packages including ERP, MRP, DRP, Windows, and Microsoft Office
