The Purchases Analyst supports the Materials Supply Management (MSM) team, accountable for capturing data and preparing reports such as supplier reliability, defect reporting and supplier scorecards. The Analyst provides monthly reports with requested analysis to support Loss Analysis and Supplier Capability and Optimization processes. The Analyst also assists in data analysis for resolving current supply chain defects.
The Purchasing Analyst is responsible for a designated number (10-20) of suppliers that have higher levels of complexity. The Analyst is accountable for the base capability of these suppliers. This includes leading the SLEA process, developing and aligning Supplier Action plans, developing and optimizing supplier capability to meet inventory glide paths, and executing material changes associated with initiatives and cost savings projects.
The Analyst has the primary responsibility for holding the Supplier accountable when P&G experiences a missed expectation of the Supplier’s performance and confirms resolution to root cause. The Analyst communicates on behalf of P&G from an operational perspective and is a full partner with Purchases who owns the commercial relationship.
The Analyst owns all the base capability systems such as Site Level Execution Agreements (SLEA), scorecards, Supplier Schedule Performance (SSP) measure, and execution of systems per the Global Standard Design. It is also expected that the Analyst actively identifies improvements to the Global Systems and works with the Regional Process Owner for testing and implementation of Global Process changes
