Job description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 more years of software engineering or related experience.

The Role:

The Story Lab is looking for a talented front-end software developer who is a master of combining live products with mock-ups of well-written stories to form a cohesive demonstration. This targeted group will push the bounds of the possible to showcase the best of Oracle's cloud offerings. This is a significant opportunity to be part of an exciting new initiative with significant potential for growth and cross-division impact.

Responsibilities:

·  Rapidly learn key features of critical Oracle Cloud products
·  Explore product road maps, industry trends, customer requests
·  Work with script writers and designers to push bounds and discover the possible
·  Develop web and mobile-based applications that showcase stories
·  Architect applications to work with and without connectivity
·  Explore integration with myriad devices and tools to wow audiences
·  Be a tireless champion for business value and the point of view of the customer
·  Collaborate with our talented design team
·  Work in a rapid development environment using agile processes

Qualifications:

·  BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
·  Proven ability to work independently and lead across teams and disciplines
·  Creative problem solving skills
·  Ability to balance product abilities, future direction, and merge those with… possibilities
·  Seeing the world through other's eyes (in this case customers)
·  Proven success in the enterprise software industry
·  Experience in many of the following
