Job Description
Novartis Oncology, part of Novartis Farma S.p.A., is looking for a Medical Advisor to join its Medical Department.
The successful candidate will provide strategic support for profiling assigned compounds. He/she will also provide up-to-date medical and relevant commercial expertise to drive Novartis message delivery to key influencers and stakeholders; will collaborate with Regional and Global Medical teams in the execution of relevant clinical activities in assigned project(s). He/she will also be responsible for profiling non registration trials, including handling of Investigators’ Initiated Trials (IITs).
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Profiling of new and marketed assigned compounds;
- Medical expertise and support to launches of new products;
- Contributes medical, clinical expertise and scientific advice to all allied Line Units to ensure timely execution of studies conducted in the local organization and to DRA(Drug Regulatory Affairs) in interactions with Authorities.
- Collaborates effectively with local organization, Regional and Global Medical Teams in the execution of relevant clinical activities, including initial input in GDPS (Global Development Plans Strategy), CDPS (Clinical Development Plans Strategy), protocols and ongoing medical support;
- Act as scientific specialist and trainer on assigned compounds.
Profilo richiesto
Minimum requirements
- MD, a specialization in Oncology is preferred;
- Fluent English (oral and written);
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in clinical medicine and/or research;
- Proven competencies in negotiation, presentation skills, clinical research insight, business and market knowledge;
- Ability to develop and foster credible relationships with MEs/decision makers;
- Ability to understand and convey emergent scientific information;
- Basic knowledge of the Healthcare System and of the research procedures as well as the ICH guidelines, GCP and other ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry;
- Knowledge of oncology clinical medicine, disease management, and medical research in at least one therapeutic area;
- Strong personal integrity and customer focus;
- Ability to work in a matrix environment;
- Able to adapt, organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment.
