The Mobile Test Technician Driver (MTTD) will be responsible for driving one of Nielsen Mobile's data collection vehicles, either owned by Nielsen Mobile or rented by Nielsen Mobile, around various metropolitan, suburban, and rural markets across the United States as it collects network quality data. The MTTD drives a designated 'route' that will be provided and includes all primary and secondary roads in the market.

The MTTD's primary responsibility will be safe driving and navigation. The MTTD will also be responsible for transport of the vehicle between markets, and all associated maintenance of the vehicle.

A secondary, but mandatory function of the MTTD will be to conduct technical troubleshooting on test equipment inside the vehicles. Experience in the field of RF will be necessary to successfully fulfill this position. The MTTD must be familiar with troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues that may arise occasionally. The MTTD must also possess better than average computer skills and be able to communicate on a professional level.

This position is conducted with just a single individual in the field whom is supported by a staff supervisor in the office. The MTTD must be confident and capable in their abilities to resolve issues. MTTD has to be a self-motivated individual that will require little supervision and be able to work in a fast paced environment.

It is possible that technological restrictions will limit techless monitoring which will increase the involvement of the MTTD to operate equipment as necessary.

Must be available for additional travel outside of the listed market locations and be willing to travel for extended periods of time away from home

Qualifications of an MTTD:

·  Valid US driver’s license required with at least 6 months of driving experience and a clean driving record required. (DMV record will be obtained)
·  Minimum two-year degree (Associate) in an engineering or electronics discipline preferred, with 6-12 months related experience.
·  Ability to navigate according to drive route provided utilizing a tablet laptop and Delorme navigation software
·  Ability to work on a flexible schedule
·  Strong attention to detail and adherence to field policy
·  Effective communications; oral and written
·  Able to take instructions as well as work efficiently with minimal direct supervision to meet progress schedules
·  Above average computer skills including basic hardware trouble shooting, such as peripheral device and modem connectivity.
·  Demonstrated use of software applications including, Microsoft Office applications (Excel, and Word) and operating systems, and various commercial email and communications products.
·  Subject to pre-employment drug, DMV and criminal checks and random drug screening.
·  Must be physically capable of lifting up to 40lbs.
