Job Profile

Cashier is responsible for cash management. S/he handles the cash register inside the Store or the assigned area.
The Role has 4 main objectives: A) S/he handles consumer payments at the assigned area or the Store, following the given procedures. B) S/he guarantees the correctness and precision of all cash register movements C) S/he keeps clean and tidy the store's checkout area D) S/he manages the customer leave.
S/he reports to the Floor Manager

Responsibilities:

- Follow the procedures define by the Retailer and Corporate standards. For instance, but not limited to the following:
- Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits, taking care to act in compliance with the local rules, regulations and law
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, tax free or change due to customers
- Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change
- Identify prices of goods through the proper tags and using calculators, cash registers, or optical price scanners

- Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas

- Resolve customer complaints

- Answer customers' questions, and provide information on procedures or policies

- Guiding and solving queries of customer
