The JW Marriott Resort Venice is the most unique Resort in Europe as it is on a forty acre private Island called "Rose Island" in the lagoon on Venice. The hotel has 266 keys with several suites with private gardens, balconies, terraces and a two bedroom Villa with its own gardens and swimming pool.
The Resort has extensive grounds which include an Olive Grove, Rose gardens, formal gardens, large space for outside catering, a chapel, two swimming pools, four restaurants, a world class cooking school and Deli, four bars, Spa and conference facilities and only 15 minutes by boat to St. Marco Square.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
• Must still be enrolled in a school institution in order to be eligible for this internship.
• Must be available for 6 months Internship.
• Great English skills.
Start Date: Within April 1st 2016
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES
The trainee will perform, during the entire internship, only one of the following roles:
Front Desk Clerk
Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning room, and issuing and activating room key. Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit. Process all check-outs including resolving any late and disputed charges. Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns. Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in. Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors and dispatch bell staff or valet staff as needed. Supply guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest. Run daily reports (number of arrivals, departures), identify any special requests, and check reports for accuracy. Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system. Cash guests' personal checks and traveler's checks. Count bank at the beginning and end of shift. Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.
Guest Relations Agent
Supply guests/residents with directions and information regarding property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities. Contact appropriate individual or department (e.g., Bellperson, Front Desk, Housekeeping, Engineering, Security/Loss Prevention) as necessary to resolve guest call, request, or problem. Follow up with guests to ensure their requests or problems have been met to their satisfaction. Receive, record, and relay messages accurately, completely, and legibly. Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any guest reports of theft.

Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print). Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
