In an ever evolving world where environmental concerns are raising up, are you interested in helping a personal care product company leader to reduce its environmental footprint, and develop innovative risk assessment methodologies?

 

The role is hosted in the Environmental Safety Department, within the Worldwide Safety Evaluation Directorate; the Environmental Safety Department being in charge of worldwide assessment of ingredient environmental impacts, and development of environmental risk assessment strategies.

Under the responsibility of the Head of Environmental Safety, you will be in charge of the implementation and development of innovative tools and methods, in the framework of risk assessment of raw materials.

 

YOUR KEY RESPONSABILITIES

· 
Assess the ecotoxicity of raw materials used in L’Oréal products, and contribute to the testing strategy and test development,

· 
In charge of integration of in silico models (e.g. TK/TD) in the assessment strategy of cosmetics,

· 
Monitor experimental studies conducted by CROs,

· 
Monitor project developments outsourced to consultants,

· 
Ensure the external representation of the company as well as the advocacy/defense of its positions and proposals in industry consortia and international working groups.

 

WHO ARE YOU ? 

· 
You have a PhD and a 5 to 10-year experience in ecotoxicology and environmental risk assessment for chemicals in a regulatory framework (all kinds are possible, but an experience in pesticide risk assessment would be appreciated),

· 
Interested in new challenges regarding environmental concerns,

· 
Skills and experience in applied research, and experience in international working groups, preferably within SETAC,

· 
Experience in application of new tools such as effect modelling,

· 
Experience with national and international authorities’ relationship,

· 
Skills for team-work & collective and collaborative efficiency in matricial organizations,

· 
International experience appreciated; fluency in English and French is mandatory.
