Your Role

The inspection, maintenance and servicing of equipment held either by Loan Pool and Adventurous Training Group at K&N Bicester or within the K&N core business stream as required.

Your Responsibilities

·  The inspection, stock service & maintenance of technical stores held either within K&N core business activities or within Loan Pool and Adventurous Training Group to required standards.
·  Ensure individual production targets are met. Ensure all job related paperwork is completed within 24 hours. Ensure the supervisor is made aware of spares requirements.
·  At all times comply with Technical Services Health & Safety policy as defined by the appropriate Processes and Health and  Safety Data folder for the Zone area being worked in, ensuring that safe systems of work are adhered to and a safe working environment maintained. Ensure documentation and working practices within the  work zone comply with business quality procedures, requirements and standards
·  Multiskilling across Technical Services work zones as business need dictates. Be able to interpret Manufacturers’ Instructions, Standards and MOD Instructions applicable to relevant equipment
·  Following appropriate training: Carry out maintenance/servicing work and to complete all paperwork relevant to job. To be able assess Climbing equipment, Sub aqua equipment and other ATG equipment, maintain to correct safety levels and assessing re-use and cost effectiveness of the repairs if required.
·  Knowledge of workshop practices, and to be able to work on your own and as part of a team. Use trade skills and qualifications in conjunction with current technical documents to determine required servicing and repair to Loan Pool and
·  Adventurous Training stock. Responsible for ensuring that serviceable stock is available for MoD customers within time constraints/Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
·  Be able to plan work based on priority requirements on a daily basis and contribute to overall planning for the section on a weekly basis.

Your Skills and Experiences

·  The knowledge and ability to apply the techniques within Loan Pool and Adventurous Training as per Manufacturers’ instructions, appropriate British/European Standards and MoD requirements
·  Must have NVQ LVL3 or City & Guild in and engineering environment
·  Identify any spares that are needed. Some heavy lifting will be required
·  Ability to adapt to change. Effective decision maker.
·  Experience in a Workshop environment (mechanical or electrical) or in an Armed Forces technical discipline
