Merchandise and demand planning

- Exploit analytical, marketing, sales and product knowledge to effectively right-size the future increases or decreases of the stock on-hand.
- Manage the Merchandise Planning meeting to propose reorders and evaluate issues & opportunities
- Support Retail organization and Merchandise Managers with data and analysis, draw conclusions about opportunities / liabilities and follow through to execution
- Forecast sales, markdowns, receipts and inventory to develop accurate reorders meeting goals
- Rolling update of financial projections based on changes in business trends
- Secure the best sell-through and weeks of coverage for global inventory
- Segment Market & Products based on performances and attributes
- Provide periodic reporting on business performance
- Develop, maintain and update tools & reports to respond to business needs the needs of the business

In Season management

- Make consolidation/reallocation recommendations to Regions and Stores to optimize Inventory efficiency
- Develop pre-season plans and recommend purchase/investment quantities and develop accurate receipt flow forecasts
- Analyze historic performance and planned strategies to identify areas of opportunity or risk
- Anticipate and plan additional cuts and/or any inventory adjustments as needed
- Partner with Allocations Manager to implement consistent and profitable in-season replenishment strategies and practices
- Partner with Allocations team to ensure right stock, right place, right quantities, right stores, right time

Qualifications :

Qualifications


- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and equivalent work experience
- 2 - 10 years of working experience, preferably in (at least) one of the following sectors: merchandising planning or buying, financial control or planning, business development or analyst, retail (any position). Experience in store is a plus.
- Passion for numbers and luxury product
- Strong analytical ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
- Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
- Fluent in English, Italian and/or French is a plus
