Aylesford Distribution Centre have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Operator Nightshift.

As the Transport Operator, Nightshift you are responsible for managing Partnership and Agency Drivers over a 24 hours a day 7 days a week transport operation.

At a glance:
● Contract Type - This is a permanent, full time position
● Hours of work - Nights 22:00 - 06:00, 5 days a week on a rolling 6 week rotation to include weekends
● Salary - £29,120 per annum plus a £8333 night shift premium

About the role:
As our new Transport Operator (Nights) you will be responsible for managing Partnership and agency Drivers over a 24 hours a day, 7 day a week transport operation.

You will be:
● Maintaining full compliance under current EU driving regulations and the Working Time Directive.
● Ensuring achievement of productivity targets, agreed key customer service levels and key performance indicators within cost targets.
● Ensuring health and safety procedures are adhered to.
● Ensure Partners are treated fairly and with respect.
● Completing all relevant administrative duties within the department including the dispatching of vehicles, controlling the trailer movements onsite and liaising with the warehouses to achieve the load plan.

Job Requirements:
This role would suit someone who:

- Demonstrates excellent Partnership behaviours
- Is results orientated and deadline driven
- Is self motivated and proactive in approach
- Manage general office and associated areas whilst ensuring good housekeeping and standards of tidiness are maintained.

- Has a good degree of literacy and numeracy

- Good PC skills

- Is logistically minded

- Works well under pressure

- Has good communication skills

- Ensure departmental & Partnership processes complied with.

- Is reliable and punctual

- Understands the basics of Health and Safety procedures

Required essential experience skills and qualifications:
Supply Chain experience Transport /Warehouse Office experience

Desirable experience skills and qualifications:
Good working knowledge of IT systems
( Email / MS office / Paragon )
National CPC qualification
