Junior Client Service Executive – 6 months Fixed Term Contract

The Role and Responsibilities

The candidate will be part of the Client Service Team in charge of providing day to day support, excluding advice on investment or product selection, to all types of existing or perspective clients including asset managers, institutional pension funds, distributors, Fund of Funds, IFA, custodians and private investors for the Italian Market.

The daily responsibilities will include telephone enquiries, correspondence, complaints, key agent/IFA relationships and any operational issues in liaison with Luxembourg Central Transfer Agent applying highest quality standards according to procedures within agreed deadlines. The candidate will also act as essential link between Sales and Operations in order to attain business goals.

Description of daily activities:

·  Provide & maintain key contact point in JPMAME with regards to all operational matters
·  Query/Error/Complaint handling by applying highest quality standards and according to procedures within agreed deadlines
·  Co-ordinate all aspects of account opening/closing both with clients and internally (i.e. including explaining operational processes & JPM policies to clients, validating client instructions and instructing the business, ensuring all systems are correctly set up etc)
·  Obtain and record Know Your Client (KYC) documentation to support Anti-Money Laundering responsibilities in conjunction with the AML team
·  Ensure client issues are resolved with minimum impact to the client/the business. This will often involve working cross functionally with a number of departments such as legal, compliance, risk
·  Support daily client transactions and inquiries accurately, within established deadlines
·  Research potential (or actual) fraud situations, errors, and losses to ensure prompt and accurate resolution.
·  Proactively inform clients of changes/issues/initiatives (e.g. regulations, JPM policies, services, etc.).

Qualifications:

·  Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent. Preferred in Economics, Languages and Communication or Political, Economic and Social Sciences
·  1-2 years experience, preferably within client service in the asset management industry highly desirable.
 
 Required Skills/Competencies:   
·  Fluency in Italian and English is mandatory. 
·  The ability to communicate (both verbally and written) at all levels with clients.
·  Client oriented
·  Highly accurate with good attention to details
·  Excellent time-management and organisational skills
·  A team player with a hands-on attitude combined with curiosity for financial knowledge, enthusiasm for the institutional space, and a consultative, problem-solving approach.
·  Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
·  Able to build a strong network within the organization
·  Flexible

This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
