Our client is supporting more than a dozen developing countries in implementation of GS1 global standards for product identification, data capture, and data exchange. As part of this implementation, the project is providing technical assistance to those governments to assess their current health commodity data landscape, including master data for product identification and classification, in particularly in light of implementation of new supply chain IT solutions such as logistics management information systems (LMIS), ERPs, and supply chain control towers.
The Global Standards Data Technical Advisor will support the Health Systems Strengthening Team in developing its global technical approach for data governance, master data management (MDM), data architectures, and provide technical guidance to country programs to understand their current state, formulate recommendations for improvement, and support implementation of those recommendations in their healthcare sectors. This work will be done in alignment with a broader initiative to implement GS1 global standards across the global and in-country supply chains. You will collaborate with a range of partners from project staff to high-level government officials both in the United States and abroad (i.e. sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, Latin America) to drive data management for health commodities as a discipline in their supply chains,

An ability to work independently and effectively to get results across cultures and in ambiguous environments is required. This position will require a willingness to travel internationally up to 50% of the time.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· 2+ years of experience in master data management.
· 2+ years of experience in the healthcare industry.
· Experience working with pharmaceuticals and/or medical devices.
· Demonstrated knowledge of global standards for pharmaceutical classification and identification.
· Experience implementing the GS1 system of standards including GDSN, EDI, and EPCIS.
· Demonstrated knowledge of supporting systems architectures and data models.
· Ability to work effectively and drive results across cultures and in ambiguous environments.
