Job description
Reporting to the Cloud Customer Hub Manager, the Enterprise Platform Cloud Solutions Specialist (CSS) supports account teams and customers by providing technical expertise and guidance for Managed Services in the design, planning and closing of cloud sales opportunities. Cloud Solutions Specialists are systems architects responsible for supporting Project Executives (PE) and Sales Engineers (SE) in the interaction with clients and prospects to gather presales requirements, assist with technology decisions, and to facilitate the development of a technical solution. These technical solutions are developed using requirements collected from the client/prospect and are mapped to business capabilities. In situations where client requirements do not map directly to a business capability, the Cloud Solutions Specialist is responsible to engage the appropriate engineering teams to validate, design or otherwise develop an acceptable solution. The Cloud Solutions Specialist team provides a conduit between Sales Support and Operations prior to client contract signing, as well as during the client delivery.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· Technical expertise in VMWare ESX, NSX, HCX
· Knowledge of LAN & WAN concepts and technologies
· Knowledge of storage platforms and technologies
· Knowledge of resiliency services such High Availability and Disaster Recovery technologies and plans
· Knowledge of Security Services (i.e. Firewall, Intrusion Detection and Prevention)
· Knowledge of Regulatory and Compliancy standards (i.e. HIPAA, PCI, ITAR, GDPR)
· Act as a subject matter expert for IBM Cloud capabilities and designs for the OneHub Cloud organization
· Provide design assistance and guidance to other Solution Architects
· Provide strategic recommendations for improving offerings and processes
· Participate in solution reviews to ensure consistent, standard, and successful client deliveries

· Previous architecture design experience
· Sales experience in a business environment is highly recommended
· Knowledge of business products highly recommended
· Three (3) years’ experience in a hosting, cloud, or managed services technical support role recommended
· Knowledge of competitor’s strategy, strengths, and vulnerabilities
· VMWare certifications
