We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Customer Data Lead.

Principal Responsibilities

·  Support colleagues in creating a data validation approach & plan
·  Create and execute data validation processes, in line with approach, priorities and plan to
·  Assess the content, quality and integrity of the data assets
·  Tailor validation specific to consumer requirements to demonstrate requirements can be met, identify and quantify any gaps and then working with delivery teams to fully meet requirements
·  Compare source system data, data warehouses and current processing systems to the target data assets. Identify differences and then investigate, determine root cause, assess materiality and support resolution of any differences identified
·  Support testing of new functionality and regression testing
·  Identify, investigate, record and work with the delivery teams to resolve any issues identified during data validation or reported by consumers and / or collegues
·  Prepare quantification and contextual information for collegues and stakeholders to articulate the findings of data validation
·  Create and manage a product backlog (list of features and requirements) that aligns with product vision and goals, and refine it based on feedback and changing business needs
·  Act as a data subject matter expert for consumers and collegues, supporting adoption of the data assets and development of requirements

Requirements

A key requirement for this role is to be able to combine an understanding of the business context with advanced data analysis skills. Technical skills are important to execute the analysis, but being able to sense check the analysis from a business perspective is vital to the success of the role.

Data analysis and validation, with experience of:

·  Data reconciliations, comparing large volumes of data to identify differences in both presence and specific data attributes
·  Creating logic within the scripting to overcome formatting or other delliberate and non-material differences. E.g. decode, constructing and deconstructing linking attributes, using & creating reference data.
·  Creating conditional logic to catagorise analysis findings
·  Data profiling, looking at current values vs expected values and reference data
·  Referential integrity validation and familiarity with the concepts of relational data sets
·  Data process tracing, validating data processing from source to target and through transformation to identify issues and root cause
·  Creating reports and management information to demonstrate results of data validation, quantify issues and support tracking to resolution of issues
·  Hands on, recent experience in target (Hadoop) & current (oracle SQL) technologies
·  Experience of ETL, both in practice (for data analysis) and through defining and managing IT solutions
·  Familiar with corporate account data and linking customers to other data sets, e.g. accounts, products, services and transactions
·  Familiar with the concept, and ideally with experience, of entity resolution
·  Able to prepare and deliver data findings to technical and non-technical audiences, focusing on the material observations and clearly communication findings, support requirements and were appropriate proposals and solution options
·  Experience of the following would be beneficial; UAT or formal testing experience, automation or repeatable process creation, data modelling, large scale data migration, entity data vendors, Client Due Diligence, and segmentation of customer internally from a business organisation or management perspective
·  Define and manage the product vision and strategy based on customer and stakeholder needs and market research
·  Collaborate with cross-functional teams(e.g development team, business unit and quality assurance) to ensure the products meets customer needs and is delivered on time
·  Ensure the product backlog items are clearly defined and properly estimated by the development team
·  Make tough decisions on what features to include in each sprint or release, based on the value that will deliver to customers and the business
·  Monitor the product’s performance and gather feedback from customers and stakeholders, using data driven insights to make informed decisions and prioritize future improvements
·  Ensure the product is compliant with all relevant regulations and standards and managing any legal or ethical considerations related to the product
·  Collaborate with the Development Team ensuring the product requirements are well-defined and executed in time

To manage the product backlog including:

·  The product backlog must be clearly defined, and all the items need to be mentioned elaborately
·  Prioritize and order the product backlog in the right manner so that the important tasks are given on top priority
·  Prioritize work items and product backlog, this must be in line with customer vision and goals
·  Evaluate the work done by the development team and provide constant feedback
·  Act as the primary contact for all stakeholders on matters related to the product
