We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of

Analyst – Finance Systems Operations

Role purpose:

Finance Systems Operations - PeopleSoft General Leder (PSGL) support team plays a significant role by providing a range of services in oracle System. The team provides various services with a mix of technical and functional expertise like Incident management, Reference data/Mapping, User access management/Platform Monitoring / System Performance, and acts as a user support for any query raised and provides training to users when needed on applications supported. Also identifying opportunities for increasing operational efficiency and effectiveness and supporting the implementation of change programs across the Ledger Systems & cadency.

Main activities:  

This role requires providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to PSGL users, Query Management, Data Quality checks and reconciliations, and coordinating with IT for platform incidents. The role also involves stakeholder management, working with project team for smooth Business as Usual (BAU) transition of new systems and processes, assist in process re-engineering, training team members, etc.

The role demands following list of responsibilities:

·  End to end understanding of the process within the agreed timelines or learning curve.
·  Understand the overall PSGL/FTP functionalities and its usage.
·  Good understanding of multiple General Ledger (GL) systems within HSBC -PSGL,FTP,FUSION &(Cadency) including architecture and data flow.
·  The level of performance is in sync with the target set as per the SLA/KPI.
·  Update/maintain the Process manuals and Standard Operating Processes.
·  Understanding of production system support tasks performed during Daily, Monthly, Quarterly and Year-end close.
·  Provide functional SME input for the Finance Operations supporting the line finance users and business partners and support on reference data/Mapping/Batch monitoring and other BAU queries.
·  Manage production issues & resolution and communicate & escalate any challenges to Finance/Business Users, Regional IT teams in a timely manner.
·  Support activities includes assisting in UAT of new enhancements, transition of changes from project to BAU and other advisory roles.
·  Coordination with IT and other pertinent upstream and downstream
·  Ability to support the USERs with Complex User Queries.
·  Ability to support Business & GFC management with timely system updates.
·  Partnering with the Change team with various system updates and changes.
·  Ability to multi-task and may be required to help in business as usual of similar systems.

Requirements

·  3-7 years of experience in Finance preferably in system’s support, Incident Management,GL Upload/Data maintenance and Change Management.
·  The candidate should be graduate with a degree in Finance/IT or strong in financial knowledge.
·  Ability to understand the workflow of accounting functions and system processes like General Ledger/Account Reconciliation/ /Accounting Business Rules/Taxation/Security/Reporting.
·  Knowledge of SOX and Audit Controls related to process management.
·  Ability to comprehend, interpret and transform huge volume of finance data.
·  Experience of Process Streamlining using automation tools (like Xceptor/PYTHON/Appian)
·  Ability to quickly learn & understand the multiple ledger systems within FSO
·  Proficient with MS Office.
·  Flexible and open to change
·  Experience of interacting with auditors / performing audits would be preferredto the jobholder.
