Generali Real Estate is the Real Estate asset management arm of the Generali Group with more than €27 billion of property assets across the globe.

The Risk Management function acts as a guarantor for the correct implementation of the risk management system within Generali Real Estate. Risk Management supports Board of Directors and Top Management in the definition of risk management strategies and tools for risk identification, monitoring, management and measurement. Risk Management also provides, through an adequate reporting system, the elements for assessing exposures and tightness of the end-to-end risk management system.

Reporting to the Head of Investment Risk main tasks include to:

Contribute to the definition and the implementation of investment risk policies, methodologies and procedures, in accordance with Group CRO policies and in compliance with relevant regulations;

Contribute to the investment risk processes: risk and control identification, measurement, management and control, monitoring and reporting;

·
Assess the consistency of the detailed business plan with the real estate investment strategy and the system of limits, providing her/his opinion about the risk profile and possible impacts on the portfolio;

·
Monitor Key Risk Indicators, direct and indirect investments exposures and limits;

·
Assess real estate transaction verifying the consistency with the business plan and the system of limits (REGRG, mandate, GRE internal limits) and providing her/his opinion about the risk profile and possible impacts on the portfolio;

Apply 2nd level controls on the evaluation process;

·
Perform portfolio risk reviews and contribute to transaction reviews; present findings and remediation / mitigation action plans to the governance;

·
Follow up and coordinate when needed the implementation of remediation / mitigation action plans;

·
Assist GRE portfolio and asset management functions in the implementation of investment processes, where investment risks and controls aspects are duly considered;

·
Promote sound investment risk management practices and enhance risk and control culture with GRE; liaise with the branches' heads to highlight missing procedures / controls;

·
Provide accurate reporting on significant investment risk issues to the relevant governance;

·
Provide periodical and appropriate reports on investment risk as required.

Profilo richiesto

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

Must have :

· 
2/3 years of experience within the real estate / property area either as an analyst in a real estate investment or asset management team or in a similar role in risk management in asset / fund management field with an international dimension;

· 
Graduate / Master's degree in finance with an asset management / risk management focus or equivalent qualification;

· 
Strong analytical, quantitative, investigative and reporting skills;

· 
High level of competence required in financial modeling and analysis;

· 
Experience in portfolio management, asset management, capital markets, or acquisitions;

· 
Fluent in English and French; German and/or Italian would be a plus;

· 
Proficient use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint;

· 
Overall knowledge and understanding of institutional investment in real estate;

· 
Very good understanding of the real estate industry's practices in terms of risk management;

· 
Willingness to travel.
