Role Summary/Purpose
Lead all operational warehouse activities such as receiving, releasing materials into production, warehousing, shipping and, inventory control. Maintain a strong culture of safety and encourages a “Stop Work” environment for safety hazards. Recognized as an experienced lead expert, influences at the manager level on strategic plans, projects and initiatives for warehousing and inventory control, and defines organizational plans annually to determine processes and procedures for execution.
Essential Responsibilities
· Receive, classify, and stock incoming goods: this includes ERP updating as well as managing stocking conditions (standard pack, reusable containers, one-location parts)
· Maintain a high inventory accuracy through cycle counting activities and world-class best practices
· Systemically identify slow moving items (excess/obsolete inventory) and drive projects to minimize any financial impact to the business
· Coordinate all shipping activities including FG shipped to the distribution center and orders shipped directly to the customer
· Lead analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods for the optimization of material flow, and warehouse space utilization
· Work on cross-functional projects/teams to deliver inventory/space optimization projects
· Resolve material shortages/overages through cycle counting and physical inventory
· Using the MRP, define strategies to accurately move and transact inventory and finished goods, ensuring cero inventory discrepancies between RM/WIP/FG inventories
· Manage the Tool Crib department and implement strategies for cost savings on shop supplies
· Coordinate material flow between the manufacturing and distribution sites
· Lead all housekeeping and 5S activities in the warehouse as well as in the receiving and shipping areas
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
· Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Warehouse and Inventory
· +2 years experience with advanced data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel
· Experience leading warehouse teams
· Bilingual: Proficiency in Spanish and English languages
Desired Characteristics
· MBA or Master’s Degree
· 5 years of proven experience in Warehouse and Inventory
· APICS Certification
· Oracle knowledge and experience
· Six Sigma Green Belt
· Strong oral and written communication skills
