Role Summary/Purpose

In the role of Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be the GRN Airfoil plant focal for External Coating operations. You will manage the coating operations for HPT blades including Corrective actions, Out of Flow and timely reporting of overall status of all Blades at Coating Farm out. This role of Supplier Quality Engineer will serve as a cross functional Lead between the GE shops, Engineering, Supplier Quality and Leadership to manage the inputs/outputs of material through Coatings.
Essential Responsibilities

In addition, as the Supplier Quality Engineer, you will:

·  Includes both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development

·  Includes supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence

·  SQEs have various levels of differentiation which are related to level of technical understanding of engineering drawings and ability to manage vendors

·  Own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards

·  Own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed

·  Develop new solutions under guidance and / or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations

·  Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects

·  Work together with high level people from the business at SPB and EB level

·  Specify needs, communicate about project approach and presents outcomes of research done

·  Provide technical / commercial assistance to Commodity Buyers to develop awareness of manufacturing processes and improve product knowledge

·  Actively participate in supplier performance reviews

·  Advise Functional managers regarding projects, processes and procedures within own field

·  Contribute to project as a team member or leads small projects

·  Own QEM’s investigation, CA’s and closure

·  Actively participate in strengthening our teaming culture by supporting the advancement of Teaming principles consistent with the site’s Teaming strategy
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or an Associate’s degree from an accredited school with a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Engineering or Quality role)

·  A minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience or graduate from the Operations Management Leadership Program
