Role Summary/Purpose

The Additive Quality Engineer will assure that QMS requirements and specific customer requirements for the Additive Process applied in the New Part Engine Manufacturing Production, are fulfilled and will be responsible for timely provision of quality deliverables.
Essential Responsibilities

The person selected will: 

·  Work across functions to guarantee proper Quality issues management in order to minimize impact on Customer, Deliveries and Costs. 
·  Act as Quality interface with Customers. 
·  Prepare quality plans. 

·  Coordinate activities (also multi-site) to guarantee: 
·  Respect of Additive Special Process Qualification and monitoring requirements; 
·  Compliance to Airworthiness rules as applicable per Customer requirements; Issue of Airworthiness Release documents as applicable per Customer requirements; 
·  Correct non-conforming material management. 

·  Monitor and oversee Manufacturing traditional processes and Additive Special Process from a quality standpoint to recognize improvement opportunities, and work with stakeholders to identify and implement effective Corrective/Preventive action plans; 
·  Support functions in the Procurement Process and Incoming Inspection to assure: 

·  Correct Customer requirements flow-down to Sub-tier, Raw Material and Special Processes Suppliers; 
·  Interface to AvioAero Suppliers for the management of Quality issues affecting the received services/products; 
·  Support to Incoming Inspection in the management of Receiving Acceptance Plan and Non-Conforming supplied materials/parts.  
·  Promote the awareness and compliance to the Avio Aero and/or specific Customer requirements/Airworthiness regulations;  
·  Assure that adequate inspection/test plans are defined and supervise on their correct application;  
·  Monitor quality indicators, collect and analyze quality data and take part to the definition and following implementation and monitoring of improvement plans together with Additive Manufacturing Engineers; 
·  Conduct Root Cause Analysis following customer escapes or other quality issue and prepare reporting documents (Four corners, 8D Inv. reports, LLC); 
·  Conduct product audits; 
·  Discuss quality metrics, trends, procedure changes, corrective action status, Lesson Learned etc. with the team members on a regular basis; 
·  Prepare the qualification packages for first qualification and following process changes; 
·  Conduct the preliminary review and work with Material Review Board to disposition nonconforming material and devise remediation actions; 
·  Oversee evaluation of test equipment and measurements instruments; 
·  Support customer and airworthiness authorities audits and assure implementation of corrective actions; 
·  Collect information needed to prepare customer reports and support on time product delivery; 
·  Certify the product before the delivery to customer.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or proven experience in a quality/technical role; 
·  Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook; 
·  EU Work Permit; 
·  Fluent in English and Italian (both oral and written)
·  Airworthiness trained (Part 21) and/or experience in civil aviation;
·  Quality or Technical background with experience in quality, special processes, operations, or engineering role; 
·  Trained on Aviation international Quality Standard;
