Role Summary/Purpose

Metallurgical Investigation Laboratory Technician will demonstrate knowledge in metallurgical analysis for investigation and production support.
The Metallurgical Investigation Laboratory Technician will demonstrate team working and problem solving skills. His/her responsibilities might include management of activities and priorities related to Investigations and/ interaction with Senior Investigation Expert, with Engineering, with shop and other staffs.
Essential Responsibilities

The person selected will: 

·  Perform visual inspection, micrographic examination and SEM analysis 
·  Ensure the proper functioning of equipment for visual, micrographic and SEM analysis, including calibration according to applicable specification 
·  Share and discuss all evidences in a multiple skills team 
·  Check and issue report of results 
·  Develop and issue Laboratory instructions/methods/procedures according to customer and international specification requirements

Qualifications/Requirements

For this role, minimum requirements are 

·  Bachelor’s Technical degree 
·  Competence in Metallurgical Testing 
·  Knowledge of laboratory equipment (in particular, microscopes) 
·  Knowledge of conventional machining and metallurgical processes 
·  Soft skills 
·  Italian fluent, English good 
·  EU Work Permit

·  Ability to work independently 
·  Deep knowledge on microscopy (steromicroscopy, optical microscopy and SEM) 
·  Strong analytical and communication skills
