Role Summary/Purpose

The proposed thesis “Development of advanced methodologies to analyze and improve performances of oil Tank and related accessories” will be carried out under the supervision of both an academic tutor (Politecnico of Turin and GreatLab) and also an Avio Aero internal tutor.

Essential Responsibilities

The role is composed by a first period to be spent under the supervision of the Avio Aero internal tutor in order to learn to use the fundamental tools, and a secondary period dedicated to the thesis research.
The whole project will be over by the second quarter of 2017.
This activity will use computational tools to identify main input parameters that impact tank and accessories fluid-dynamic. This know-how will be useful to furtherly identify opportunities to improve performances to improve oil quality and reduce tank weight. In addition It will help engineers to identify technologies to be developed to increase TRL for future product applications.
