Role Summary/Purpose

The Lead Production Quality Specialist will be involved with the Quality Systems associated Regulatory, Contractual and International requirements and standards. Requires developed and strong foundation of function skills and knowledge of relevant technologies.
Essential Responsibilities

In addition, as the Lead Production Quality Specialist, you will:

·  Serves as the Site AS9100 Site Quality Rep which includes:
·  Monitoring and maintaining compliance the standard
·  Revising procedures
·  Working with site leadership on Roles & Responsibilities

·  Scheduling and conducting of audits to AS9100 standard elements

·  Conducting Internal audits, and special audit assignments according to site procedures o management request

·  Revising and issuing site procedures which meet Statutory, Regulatory, Customer / Organizational and Standards requirements

·  Ownership includes both quality assurance and quality control
·  Includes quality assurance of products, services, manufacturing processes
·  Includes conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc.

·  Develops new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations

·  Works together with business leadership at SPB and EB level

·  Specifies needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done

·  Delivers products as part of a team

·  Works on cross functional teams

·  Alternatively: Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)

·  Minimum of 3 years of experience in Production Quality
Desired Characteristics

·  AS9100D Auditor Certification

·  Six Sigma certification (Green Belt minimum), including proficient use of Mini-Tab (or other analytical software)

·  Project Management, including phases of:
·  Identifying Need (data)
·  Team Leadership
·  Team Development
·  Tracking of Projects through Completion
·  and Determining Sustainability of Implemented Improvements.Regulatory (e.g. FAA, EASA, etc.) Designee Holder through direct FAA management, and/or ODA Unit Membership

·  Exposure to Regulatory Production Approval processes, such as PMA and/or PC

·  Maintenance of site procedures

·  Ability to break-down problems in to Short Term (containment), Interim, and Long-Term sustainable solutions

·  Highly motivated, self-starter, with the ability to Develop and Effectively Implement validated solutions, many times utilizing resources outside the immediate team

·  Develop, Test and Launch digitized solutions (e.g. workflows), which replace manual / hardcopy methods

·  Advanced working knowledge of SPC, including Fundamentals and Implementation (methods and tools)
