Essential Responsibilities

The GE Power EEDP will prepare you for an exciting career tackling one of the world’s toughest challenge – clean and affordable energy. As a Power EEDP, you will: 

• Work on rotations over 2 years in a variety of disciplines/business segments. 
• Receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from world-class technologists and experienced technical managers.  
• Participate in leadership development training with GE program members from other business and locations. 
• Have the opportunity to earn credit towards an MS degree in Engineering (if entering with a BS) 
• Grow your technical expertise in your chosen field and expand your skills in new areas. 

• EEDP's in Power experience technically challenging and innovative rotations in the power generation industry focusing in the areas of Systems, Analysis, Design, Quality, Reliability, Digital, and Integration & Test. 
• The core engineering skills gained in assignments are enhanced through Advanced Courses in Engineering and Corporate leadership training

Qualifications/Requirements


• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in the Engineering majors stated below from an ABET accredited university 
• GPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0 overall

Desired Characteristics

• Preference will be given to persons with 3.2/4.0 overall or higher GPA in the majors noted below. 
• Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in design engineering or manufacturing 
• Highly – motivated, energetic, confident, flexible in changing environments. 
• Strong dedication to a career in technology and a real passion for engineering 
• Demonstrated an analytical approach to problem solving, learning agility 
• Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms 
• Demonstrated and enthusiastic leadership and teambuilding skills 
• Strong team and interpersonal skills, ability to work in project teams in an international environment 
• Proven scholastic achievements and proactive leadership skills 

Other Vacancy notes: 
• Greenville, SC, Schenectady NY or Wilmington NC are potential locations for first year. Other select locations inside the US are available in the second year of the program.  
• Minimum GPA 3.0 (on 4.0 overall scale) 
• Graduation dates: Fall 2019 or Spring 2020 
• Degrees: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering. Other Engineering majors such as: Aero Engineering, Controls Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or other Energy Engineering related majors will be considered.
