This is an entry level HR trainee role and is relevant for someone looking to start a career in HR Advisory or HR Consulting.

 

The Opportunity:

 

Provide accurate administrative support across key HR processes to the HR Business Consultants (“HRBC’s”) across 6 Service Lines (including CBS) in a confident and accurate manner. Being part of a small HR Advisory Team that includes HR Advisor’s,the HR Assistant’s role is responsible for activities that support the HRBC’s in relation to providing a commercial and professional HR service to the business, and ensure the EY Talent Strategy is delivered. The role has an strong emphasis on supporting the team in data reporting and therefore excellent Excel and data analysis skills are essential.The HR Assistant should have the ability to take a logical and systematic approach to issues, escalating matters where needed and weighing up all options to make a considered decision.

Your Key Responsibilities:

 

Data/Reporting

·      Maintain accurate and timely management information as required by the HRBC’s to help them effectively manage their business and people. This will include extensive use of Excel reports to manipulate and analyse trends for client groups up to 3500 people. This includes ensuring the HRBCs have access to regular reports on the shared drive e.g. monthly People List, absence data, attrition etc

·       Produce and analyse slide decks on statistical data for the HRBC

LEAD Process

·      Support the Firm’s Learning Evaluation and Development (LEAD) process, as required by HRBC’s.

Salary Review

·       Become familiar, as required, with salary principles for Service Line and CBS to assist with quality checking our salary review data

·      Format reports downloaded from CURO (our pay review system, to assist HRBC’s in spotting trends, rectifying inconsistencies and ensuring principles are adhered to across functions

·       Respond to HRBC requests to find historical, factual data to assist them in salary decision making process

General Activities

·      Take responsibility for ensuring maintenance of key tasks/activity e.g. timely approval of HR online forms, monitoring of the team shared mailbox, shared drive, coordination of weekly team meetings and team communications, coding of invoices, booking rooms and meetings etc

·       Investigate general HR policy queries on behalf of the HRBC and respond to the business

·      Develop and maintain internal relationships with the wider UK&I People Team, in particular the Service Line team, Talent Shared Services, Employee Relations, and Reward. In addition to this, understand the structure and links into the EMEIA and Global People Teams, having an awareness of the key contacts

·       Take responsibility to continuously improve and streamline processes and manage the quality of work

·      Attendance and providing input at HR meetings, including HR Ops meetings and counselling family meetings

·       Support the HR Advisor with administrative processes, as required such as note taking in ER case investigations

·      Contribute to HR projects and carry out any other reasonable ad hoc duties in order to support the HR function
