Global Energy Management (GEM) is one of ENGIE's Business Units. We deliver services in supply and logistics management, asset management, risk management, market access management, while contributing to the market understanding, design and efficiency and developing market solutions to accelerate the energy transition.

Organization:
Compliance, department helps ensuring a safe business development and operating environment, with respect of banking & market regulations, thereby preserving business continuity and mitigating reputational risk.
Compliance, plays the role of the 2 nd line of defense in the Compliance framework and reports to a GEM Executive Committee member (also Head of Legal & Regulation).
Role:
Ensure a sound and robust compliance culture within GEM in the scope of European regulation (MAD/MAR, REMIT, MIFID II, EMIR, CRD IV, etc.)
Support the first line of defense of the Compliance framework in the context of GEM business transformation with operational guidance and value-added solutions
Develop a transversal risked-based framework in cooperation with the first line of defense to focus on major compliance risks and perform an efficient risk-monitoring program
Report results, action plans and follow-up to Top Management
Maintain compliance with regulation as appropriate
Main Activities:
Understand activities to ensure Compliance adequacy
Develop synergies between 1 st and 2 nd line of defense to enhance efficiency of the Compliance monitoring framework
Challenge policies/procedures & Compliance control framework
Perform Compliance controls, monitor, analyze and escalate compliance alerts/risk indicators
Perform Compliance risk review jointly with the 1 st line of defense, including implementation and follow-up of action plans
Participate to the Compliance risk cartography and Control framework review and update
Report to Top Management and regulators on the Compliance risk-monitoring program
Promote best practices and participate to projects in the Compliance framework

Education and professional background:
Master degree in Legal, Finance or Compliance
Languages : Fluent in English and French
IT skills : good knowledge of MS Office tools, digital native
Hard skills:
Proven Compliance experience at least 3 to 10 years in a Compliance function, ideally in a trading or banking environment.
Good knowledge of European financial & banking regulation as well as the operational chain covering trading activities
Soft skills:
Analytical skills
Good verbal and written communication , assertiveness
Curiosity, open-mindedness and eagerness to learn about changing regulation and business evolutions
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
