What You Can Expect

As our Financing Intern, you will learn about providing Energy Solutions’ (ES) public and private customers with consulting services for their energy solutions financing within the US region. This includes providing expertise on public financing programs for energy efficiency, distributed generation, and renewable energy while working with local school districts, colleges, governmental agencies regarding governmental processes to secure financing and grants.

 

Every day you will work closely with ENGIE’s Business Development and Operations team, along with the Commercial and Risk Director. Daily task include; monitoring and tracking legislative, regulatory, and market changes that impact financing opportunities for potential customers. Learn how to research state and federal project financing programs and provide information to customers on project financing. You will assist in providing counsel to ES sales management regarding potential clients with the best financing opportunities so that ES resources are allocated and focused on the opportunities with the highest profitability opportunities. You will also stay up to date on rebates, incentives, and funding opportunities related to ENGIE’s products and services including but not limited to the Self Generation Incentive Program, Low Carbon Fuel Standard, Utility Incentive Programs. Work closely with the Commercial and Risk Director on providing counsel to ES sales management regarding potential clients with the best financing opportunities so that ES resources are allocated and focused on the opportunities with the highest profitability opportunities. Present relevant information and insights on incentive/rebate/grant projects to leadership with the goal of impacting business development strategy

 

 

What You’ll Bring

·  Must be at least a senior working towards an undergraduate  or graduate degree in Business Administration or Finance/Economic
·  Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
·  Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
·  Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
·  Ability to coordinate and collaborate efficiently with internal stakeholders (especially Finance teams)
·  Demonstrated ability to take initiative

 

Additional Details

·  The internship work term will be from May 2024 to August 2024
·  This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
·  Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range:   $21.00-$34.00 USD hourly

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
