ENGIE are recruiting for a Caretaker to be based at Sir John Thursbury & Ridgewood, Eastern Ave, Burnley, Lancashire, BB10 2AT. This is a permanent full-time role working on average 37.5 hours per week on a rotational shift pattern - Week 1: Mon - Fri 05.30 - 13.30 and Week 2: Mon - Fri 11.00 - 19:00. On offer is a salary of £18,000 per annum and benefits package.

Responsible for the day to day management of the school premises with respect to caretaking services, together with establishing a close working relationship with the school and community groups. Ensure that all services are provided to a consistently high standard. Assist the Area Supervisor in meeting the requirements of the Project Agreement.

Main Responsibilities:

· 
Organise, manage and monitor the tasks of the cleaning team.

· 
Respond in a timely manner to any issues with the delivery of routine and non-routine cleaning services. Provide cover and remedial cleaning tasks as necessary.

· 
Act as Key holder. Carry out routine and non-routine security procedures for the school buildings and grounds.

· 
Respond to security or maintenance issues outside normal working hours.

· 
Carry out minor routine maintenance tasks in accordance with the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programme, including pre-planned maintenance tasks during the school holidays.

Required Qualifications, Skills or Experience:

·  DBS Enhanced
·  GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at least
