- Mellin is recruiting a JUNIOR DEMAND & SUPPLY PLANNER for a V.I.E contract.
The position is based in Milan.
The V.I.E is an international programme for young professionals between 18 and 28 years old, who have EU nationality; in addition the candidate can't come from the country hosting the mission.
The mission of the role is to manage the stock level and availability for a range of SKUs, maximizing Customer Service Level while minimizing material write off and finished goods clearance.
In details, you'll be accountable:
- To ensure an optimum product coverage from several factories across Europe. Together with them, you will define optimal planning parameters while taking the right corrective actions to avoid both, out of stock and overstock situations;
- To maximize order fulfillment & customer satisfaction by working together with our Customer Service & Logistics teams.
Key responsabilities:
- Review the stock coverage for Finished Goods and Materials and define production needs to ensure product availability;
- Process Production Orders on a daily basis;
- Monitor production capacity
- mid and long term horizon
- to achieve optimum level of coverage for adequate service to customers;
- Define efficient lot size for materials (essential for product inno);
- Support new product development, ensuring product availability and defining optimum lot size during Phase IN period;
- Project collaboration: participate in execution meetings together with Marketing, Sales and Operations as well as supporting brand acceleration meetings when required.
We are looking for talented, open and enthusiastic people with:
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering or Economics;
- Good knowledge of MS Office and (Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint);
- Fluency in English is required (Italian knowledge will be a plus);
- Previous experience in Operations and/or Supply Chain area will be a plus;
- Good planning and organisation skills, combined with attention to detail;
- Able to gather, manipulate and interpret data, solve problems and establish priorities;
- Ability to communicate cross functionally (verbally & written) issues and performance;
- A good time manager, able to meet deadlines with quality output;
- Strong process development and analytical business skills.
