Position Description

We need a Technical Architect to work with a high profile blue chip client within the auto finance sector, improving systems that make the everyday easier.

Your future duties and responsibilities
You will be required to provide quality assurance during the full project lifecycle reviewing and approving designs, code, test plans and evidence, and will coordinate and facilitate the resolution of defects identified during integration and user acceptance testing.

Other responsibilities include facilitating and reviewing project implementation plans, facilitating the creation of an updating BAU documentation and ensuring there is a full handover between the Project and BAU support teams. You will also attend meetings as required with Project Stakeholders from both CGI and Customer.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
The ideal person for this role will have proven experience of designing solutions. You will also have experience of working in an onshore/offshore model, as well as having solid experience of working with API’s. Experience of working within a consultancy and experience of working with end to end solutions is key.

You must be technically very strong with some or all of the following technologies:

• Progress Open Edge 11.x
• Oracle Fusion 11g
• Oracle Database 12c
• Java/J2EE, Web Services
• API’s using JSON and, Net framework
• Working experience in an Agile and DevOps setup
• JBOSS , Tomcat expertise.

Good working knowledge of various software development methodologies, and experience of working on large scale complex software solutions is required. Good working knowledge of Relational Databases is desirable.

Financial services sector experience would be nice to have; however, the technical skills are more important.

This role will be predominantly based in Milton Keynes, however a flexible attitude towards travel is essential as there may be travel to other CGI offices and client sites.
