Position Description

Team CGI is looking to build a diverse team of functional, technical, and development experts that can work in an AGILE environment to create a unified system that supports the United States Army across the Institutional, Operational, and Self-Development training arenas to maximize soldier readiness.

Your future duties and responsibilities
As the Senior System Engineer/Integrator, the individual will be responsible to the Program Management leadership and Technical Lead for the assumption of over 30 plus systems into a singular system with the ability to conduct major external interface with 41 external United States Army enterprise systems. Serves as subject matter expert, possessing in-depth knowledge of systems integration. The candidate will perform technical planning, system engineering, verification and validation, design, and architectural review assessment of the objective ATIS capability. Working with other technical, functional, and data leaders and staff, the candidate will design, build, synthesize, and implement technological applications into a single Army Enterprise-level training information system. Provide sound technical/IT leadership through collocation, virtual, or occasional road-trips to ensure accuracy of work, issues, and way points to maintain the integrity of the Technical Architecture selected by the customer.

• Participates as needed in all phases of software development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases.
• Applies principles, methods and knowledge of cloud migration to specific task order requirements, advanced mathematical principles and methods of exceptionally difficult and narrowly defined technical problems.
• Using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), leads the system engineering approach across several agile teams to ensure the objective ATIS capability fully meets Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements.
• Translate customer requirement into project and system requirements.
• Assist in the technical evaluation of new ATIS technologies.
• Assists in the translation of architectural concepts into system/segment requirements and interfaces.
• Provide integration and engineering expertise to guide successful consolidation of integrated/subsumed legacy systems.
• Engage with internal and external organizations to develop and execute a time-phased business increments for migrating systems to the operational baseline utilizing agile based methodologies.
• Work with other leads to ensure integration/interface/and subsumed systems work in seamless environment per the development of the objective ATIS capability.
• Nest with A-PMs on Functional, Development, and Governance to ensure coordination of Technical Architecture as well as support the Design, Build, Test, and Deliver of ATIS.
• Work in an iterative and AGILE SAFe environment.
• Work with Enterprise systems and understand key technical aspects of systems to be subsumed in support of ATIS.
• Provide coordination, synchronization, and direction to Technical personnel in a collaborative environment, thus ensuring coordination of the Technical Architecture and ability to apply current 21st Century technologies to support the build of the ATIS system.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance is required.
• Bachelors Degree with more than 8 years of experience; 2+years of experience as a systems integrator.
• Experience in agile systems engineering & integration frameworks
• Experience in cloud technology engineering
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services and Cloud technologies
• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) qualified
