Bouygues Energies & Services Solutions currently has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Commercial Manager to join our Commercial team in London.
The main purpose of the role is to lead a team of Finance Analysts, and deliver professional, timely and accurate financial reporting and forecasting, for a range of business units across Bouygues E&S Solutions. This is a broad role, which encompasses financial management, contractual support, risk and team management. The role involves regular travel to sites.

The main responsibilities of the Deputy Commercial Manager will involve:
Team management - Lead a small team of part-qualified finance professionals and review their work. Structure, motivate, coach and develop your team
Performance reporting and FP&A - Responsibility for the production and management of timely/accurate/compliant monthly financial results (P&L and balance sheet). Presentation of meaningful trends to enable decision-making. Provision of internal and statutory audit justifications as required
Transactional performance - Take responsibility for the production of key financial indicators. Analyse and provide recommendations to operational managers, to optimise the Company’s position (i.e. supplier payments, debtor days, etc.)
Financial optimisation - Evaluate and challenge, using appropriate data and analytics, the budgeting and operations of each site and service line: resource levels, performance vs. output specifications and suitable benchmarks
Contractual support - Proactively analyse/audit contractual compliance and risks, to provide sound support to site management and optimise contractual entitlements. This can involve meeting with external clients
Business development - Provide support to your manager and business leaders when tendering for new opportunities (pricing, modelling, etc.)
Innovation and business improvement - Take an active part in the optimisation of our management systems and reporting suite – to provide meaningful financial information to our customers, in the most effective way


The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Fully or part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
Experience in a finance role with exposure to budgeting, accounting systems, financial procedures and accounting standards. Ideally, experience of managing a team.
Experience of interpretation of financial information to support management decision making
Capable of reviewing and analysing complex financial data and propose/implement solutions to problems
Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised, with a methodical approach to work and exceptional attention to detail
Sound IT skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel including data modelling
Proficient understanding of accounting software packages such as SAP
Experience in Facilities Management / Construction / equivalent sectors, multi-site, in a large company is an advantage
