What you can expect

BASF drives the automation and ongoing improvements in plant and equipment safety. The PCE Planning unit of the Central Engineering Services unit supports the planning and implementation of PCE facilities and safety measures for production facilities at the Ludwigshafen site.

·  In this role, you will assume responsibility for preparing concepts for the planning of PCE safety equipment in the area of functional safety on the basis of existing safety considerations.
·  In the process, you will be responsible for advising customers, determining costs, preparing tendering documents and awarding contracts.
·  In addition, you will procure technical goods and planning services in the area of process control engineering and will be responsible for properly documenting the planning records.
·  Beyond that, you will assume responsibility for coordinating with the interfaces involved, for the basic and detailed process control engineering planning in the PRODOK CAE system and will manage external service providers.

What we expect

·  You have a degree in automation engineering or process control engineering.
·  Furthermore, you also have knowledge and practical experience in the field of functional safety.
·  You work in a manner geared toward real-world practice in an interdisciplinary team, thereby building successful customer relationships.
·  Moreover, you also have good German and English language skills, so you can be responsive toward others and communicate openly even in challenging situations.
