About the role

The Service Delivery team ensures that Avanade work meets client contract targets and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This involves working closely with technical teams within the Avanade delivery center to meet operational, contractual and financial commitments.

As a Service Delivery Consultant, you are a crucial liaison between Avanade technical teams and our clients, ensuring that what we deliver meets customer expectations. While you rarely visit client sites, you may interact with the client's IT organization. At times, you may work with other Service Delivery professionals across the organization on large, complex accounts.

You will serve as a vital bridge between our technical delivery center and our clients - advocating for clients to ensure that our technical staff understands their needs, while supporting the delivery team to help clients understand technical limitations or delays in delivery.

Day-to-day, you will:

• Lead delivery center workstreams in contract negotiation to help refine deliverables, budget, schedule and service levels

• Ensure timely deliverables that meet quality standards

• Track problems and issues and escalate as necessary

• Participate in project meetings with delivery center team

• Monitor and analyze quality metrics and client satisfaction

• Identify and suggest productivity improvements.

About you

Because this is fundamentally a communications role, you should have outstanding interpersonal skills as well as a solid grounding in technology. You are diplomatic, a good communicator, and a good negotiator. You know how to motivate people to get things done.

Key skills and qualities you likely possess include:

• Understanding of technical domains (e.g., infrastructure, .NET, cloud technologies, networking)

• Experience planning and managing projects involving geographically dispersed teams

• Basic comprehension of financials

• Great presentation and interpersonal skills

• Knowledgeable in at least one software development methodology (e.g., Agile, Scrum, SDLC, Waterfall)

• Knowledgeable in Microsoft platform technologies and tools.

You likely have at least two years of project and service management experience in an IT environment. Prior management experience is not required but valuable. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, ideally in technology or business. Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification also preferred but not required. Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certifications are a plus.
